Applications:

These discs are diametrically magnetized, meaning the magnetic poles are located on opposite sides of the circular edge, rather than on the flat faces like most disc magnets. As a result, they tend to align side-to-side instead of stacking flat. This unique magnetization makes them especially interesting for experiments and demonstrations.

These magnets are commonly used in conjunction with Hall Effect switches and sensors, where lateral magnetic field orientation is required.
