Description:

Gadolinium (Gd) is a rare-earth metal with the atomic number 64 and belongs to the lanthanide series. It is a silvery-white, malleable, and ductile metal that exhibits ferromagnetic properties at low temperatures (below 20°C).

Note: Some GBCAs are linked to nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF) in patients with kidney problems.
