Applications:

The rings are sold in pairs because there are two different magnetization directions on them that allow them to function as clasps. One magnet in the pair has the north pole facing the countersunk hole side, while the other has the south pole on that side. This configuration enables the two faces to align flat, as a knot fits inside the countersunk hole in the ring. The clasps are nickel plated for a shiny, silver finish. The small hole measures 1/21″ and the large hole measures 1/10″.
