Yttrium is mainly used in the production of red phosphors for color television tubes (YVO4: EU, Y2O3: EU, Y2o2s: EU) . Used as a deoxidizer for nodulizer, vanadium, and other Non-ferrous metal in ductile iron. Adding a small amount of yttrium to certain metals (such as chromium, molybdenum, titanium zirconium) or alloys (such as aluminum-magnesium alloys) can improve their properties or increase their strength. Yttrium has important applications in the production of superconductors, laser materials, ceramics and glasses.
